About the Role

Ngā Tai Oranga, The Healing Tides is a small multi‑disciplinary team based in Newtown, Wellington. The role involves providing therapies, supervision, consultations, and teaching to mental‑health clinicians about people with severe distress intolerance, relationship and emotional dysregulation. Clients are often conceptualised as having complex PTSD and/or borderline personality disorder. The service offers consultation, supervision and advice to mental health service teams, teaches emotion regulation skills, formulation and risk understanding, and emphasises person‑centred compassionate formulations. The successful candidate will be part of our Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) programme as a therapist.
