Merchandiser

AGT Foods is seeking a Merchandiser to join our Regina Head Office team.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, confident individual with an interest in the movement of our commodities from origin to end-use market and attention to detail of the steps to get it there.

Under the direction of the Division Head, Marketing & Sales, North America Bulk Commodities, the successful applicant will:

1. Act as the liaison between AGT Foods and customers around the world, providing market intelligence and commodity expertise.
2. Execute and promote a profitable and competitive export program including procurement strategies and programs.
3. Using analytical and negotiation skills, manage all aspects of sales contracts, risks and freight movement, as well as maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor activity.
4. Assess risk and exercise exceptional judgment in decision-making.
