DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RESEARCH/ANALYSIS
Research on competitor product range and price
Historical sales analysis, sales trend analysis
Identify and expand core category/hero items
Correctly identify commercial trends
BUDGET PLANNING/BUYING
Closely coordinate with senior garments merchandising manager & head of merchandising regarding category budget plans
Ability to keep the buy within budget constraints
Creation of stockflow report for certain categories/lines/products as needed
Project accurate buy quantity to minimize stock-out, maintain ideal inventory, and face quantity of items in all stores throughout the season
Ensure and maintain ideal number of style codes according to store type
Accurate buy projections to ensure ideal stock levels for new stores
