Merchandising Specialist

**Job Summary**



Responsible for working with Associate Merchants to select items for product lines for review; optimize assortment using data and financial projections. Work with the respective merchandising team to implement the appropriate supplier strategy. Responsible for category business dollars.



**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities**



+ Selects, negotiates, and prices for out stock or specialized merchandise.

+ Selects, negotiates and determines price points for smaller vendors. Conducts/facilitates vendor meetings and negotiations.

+ Maintains all SKU information. Liquidates discontinued merchandise.

+ Determines visual representation for catalog, mailers, and other marketing mediums. Seeks out new products, writing new ads, and correcting ads. Reviews the revisions from the Design team, verifies pricing is correct, and aids in pagination.
