Meteorological Assistant (Observing Stations)

(What the role is)
The selected candidate will carry out weather observation and reporting at meteorological stations to support meteorological operations, in fulfilment of international requirements stipulated by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Meteorological Observations

• Monitor continuously the weather situation
• Observe and record meteorological phenomena and parameters
• Ensure quality of the performance of systems and of meteorological information
• Communicate meteorological information to internal and external users
• Conduct upper-air sounding operations to collect atmospheric data
• Assist and support various aspects of work at a meteorological station (e.g., archiving data, QC of meteorological data, compil...
