Microbiological Assistant Laboratory Manager

Introduction

The position is to assist the Laboratory Manger in planning, managing the overall functioning of the Microbiology Laboratory and to perform analysis. Perform general senior responsibilities and work on benches to ensure best laboratory practices is maintained.

This position requires a broad knowledge of food microbiology, obtained from a degree in microbiology, biotechnology or related job experience, to analyze and interpret data accurately. A general knowledge of food microbiology is necessary to manage the analyses of the sample. A broad knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies is necessary to ensure a safe working environment.

A knowledge of the Laboratory Information Management System is required to process client data and calculate and record analysis results.
