Microbiology Technologist - $10000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS

**LabCorp is seeking a Microbiology Clinical Lab Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN.**

**Work Schedule:** **1st shift; Option 1: 5:30AM - 4:00PM, Four shifts per week with every other weekend rotation. Option 2: 6:30AM-3:00PM, Five shifts per week with every other weekend rotation.**

**Job Responsibilities:**

+ Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
+ Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
+ Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
+ Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
+ Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
+ Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
+ Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
