Microsoft Fabric Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions on Microsoft Fabric. Work directly with business and functional teams to understand processes, KPIs, data pain points, and translate them into actionable data models, pipelines, and Fabric assets.
• Hands-on ownership of end-to-end data architecture and implementation across Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, Data Factory Pipelines & Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks/Spark).
• Design and build medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), including schema design, delta tables, partition strategy, performance optimization, and conformed enterprise data models.
• Develop batch and near-real-time ingestion pipelines from databases, APIs, and file-based sources; implement CDC, SCD Type 1/2, audit columns, and upsert logic using Fabric Data Pipelines and Spark.
