Job Description
Health PEI seeks a dedicated Midwife to join its team in Summerside and Charlottetown. Deliver top-tier care for expecting families and their newborns throughout the childbearing journey.
As a Registered Midwife, you will provide individualized care across preconception, labor, and postpartum periods. Your role includes comprehensive assessments, performing minor procedures, and ensuring informed client choices. Working alongside a healthcare team, you will contribute to developing maternity services in line with Health PEI’s goals
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver care to individuals and their newborns throughout the childbearing period
• Attend births as the primary caregiver or second attendant
• Initiate necessary referrals to specialized care providers
• Educate families on pregnancy, labor, and postpartum health
• Collaborate on strategies to reduce pregnancy-related risks

• Graduated from a recognized Midwifery Education Program
