MILLWRIGHT POSITION - WEST RAND - TARLTON

Purpose: To ensure effective and efficient maintenance of packhouse machinery to eliminate plant stoppages by ensuring planned maintenance schedules are adhered to. To ensure timely restoration of the line machinery in the event of a breakdown. The position will be based in the packhouse and will report to the line manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

List of tasks for the role:

1. Provide assistance to the maintenance team by ensuring SOP’s/BRC standards are followed during any required maintenance.
2. Ensure preventative inspections are carried out in line with the plan.
3. Complete tasks that have been allocated in line with all maintenance requests, and follow up on repairs.
4. Liaise with external parties in case of outsourced maintenance.
5. Ensure availability of critical spares for all machines.
6. Ensure effective greasing of machines.
