Mining Engineer

About the role

A mining engineer is responsible for organizing, planning, and managing the process of extracting minerals. They assure the safety, environmental responsibility, and economic viability of mining activities.

What you'll be doing

· Design mine layouts (surface and underground)

· Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis

· Plan drilling and blasting operations

· Select appropriate mining equipment and machinery

· Monitor mine safety and ensure compliance with regulations

· Oversee environmental management and land reclamation

· Coordinate with geologists, environmental engineers, and operations teams

· Optimize production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

· Prepare technical reports and project documentation
