Job Description

  • Provide technical support for laboratory practical classes, workshops, and academic or training events.
  • Assist academic staff in supervising students and participants during laboratory activities to ensure safe and effective learning outcomes.
  • Prepare, set up, and verify the functionality of laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials prior to each session.
  • Support lecturers by assisting with laboratory demonstrations and conducting trial runs for practical classes where required.
  • Maintain laboratories in good working condition, including equipment preparation, routine maintenance, and general housekeeping.
  • Perform administrative duties related to laboratory operations, including procurement, inventory tracking, and management of chemicals, assets, and consumables.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and coordinate with external vendors for servicing and repairs when necessary.
