Monterey Support Worker - Louis Riel School Division - Full Time

SUMMARY:

 This position is similar in nature to an Educational Assistant role but with a broader scope of therapeutic and community-based responsibilities. The Support Worker will provide behavioral, academic, and social-emotional support to students in the classroom, in the community, and during evening/weekend programming. The role includes family support, recreational programming, and active participation in a multidisciplinary team approach.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build strong, caring relationships with students and families, acting as a consistent adult presence.

Support the implementation of individualized learning and therapeutic plans, co-developed with educators, clinicians, and cultural supports.

Reinforce educational and behavioral goals under the direction of teachers and clinicians.
