Mooring Crew / Marine Assistant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES . to handle mooring lines in making fast / casting off vessels. . to connect / disconnect cargo / fresh water hoses. . rigging of gangway. . to assist in cargo loading / discharging operations, including packed stock lifting operations. to assist in lining-up of cargo lines opening / closing valves. . to assist in cargo samples collection. . to perform ullaging of storage tanks. . to check on vessel's mooring during operation and to remain alert throughout for responding to emergencies, etc. . to maintain cleanliness at wharf. . to perform other duties as assigned during slack hours. . to participate pollution / fire exercises at wharf as part of training to respond to emergencies. Operations at the wharf are carried out 24 hours per day including Sundays and Public holidays and hence at all times during their working hours, the mooring crew / marine assistant is to be ready to respond to emergencies at wharf such as, fire, oil spill and security breaches.
