Ribbon is looking for a MSc/PhD, Doctoral Student Optical Communications Researcher to lead and contribute to advanced research in coherent optical communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of non‑measurable or partially observable optical phenomena, demanding strong analytical reasoning beyond direct experimental data

• Model accuracy and fidelity, requiring the ability to synthesize complex optical physical phenomena into reliable theoretical and simulation models

• Evaluation of emerging or non‑standard optical network architectures, where limited prior art or validation data may exist

• Digital twin research:

  • Participating in development and integration efforts, while providing answers to complex optical system issues, arising from the digital twin activity
