MYP Design Teacher – Job Profile (IB School)

• A Middle Years Programme (MYP) Design Teacher in an IB school facilitates inquiry-based, interdisciplinary learning focused on creative problem-solving, design thinking, and technology integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach MYP Design (Years 1–5) as per IB curriculum framework
• Guide students through the design cycle:
• Inquire → Plan → Create → Evaluate
• Develop real-world design tasks in Product, Digital, or Architectural Design
• Integrate ICT tools, CAD software, and digital design platforms
• Encourage innovation, critical thinking, and student-led inquiry
• Assess students using IB MYP criteria (A–D) and maintain documentation
• Support interdisciplinary projects with other subject areas
• Prepare students for personal projects (MYP Year 5)
• Maintain IB documentation, planners, and unit plans
