HOUSE PARENT FOR THE RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY
Provides direct care to children under the Residential Care Program. This includes but not limited to:
Accompany or transports on or off grounds to recreational, educational, or occupational activities.
Performs light housekeeping duties in childrens areas and living rooms.
Attends in-service training and/or educational programs.
Shops for or with residents for clothing, food and / or personal belongings.
Trains children to function independently to their capacity and needs in self-help and/or daily living skills (e.g., personal hygiene, feeding, grooming, etiquette, social skills) according to prescribed treatment plan of the Registered Social Worker (RSW)
Institutes appropriate crisis intervention for unacceptable behavior as defined by individual treatment plan,
Plans leisure time activities (e.g., games, crafts, walks) to fill free time when none are scheduled by RSW.
