Naval Combat Systems IT Technical Architect

The Synthetic Environment (SE) Technical Architect will provide support through the use of their knowledge-based and skills-based experience in network topologies for on‑premise and cloud‑based computing. They will also provide site IT Administration for the SE in support of Naval Material for the Royal Canadian Navy, focused on network infrastructure (primarily Cisco Layer 2/Layer 3) with a Windows Active Directory environment. The Technical Architect will provide knowledge and experience with hypervisors including Microsoft Hyper‑V and VMware vSphere. The SE team supports other teams that provide multi‑disciplinary engineering and technical services related to the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Naval Combat System. Weir Marine Engineering supports the RCD Project Management Office (PMO) within the Department of National Defence (DND) Office at the Brisbane building in Dartmouth, NS.
