Nephrologist

Summary The Physician works as a member of the medical specialties team at the Hershel Woody Williams campus of the Huntington VA Hospital, and is in the Nephrology Department within the Medical Service. They practice at the independent clinical level of practice. Nephrology is a subspecialty of internal medicine dedicated to delivery of comprehensive nephrological care. Responsibilities Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for management of patients with diseases involving the kidneys, including but not limited to: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), electrolyte disorders, glomerulonephritis (both primary and secondary), resistant hypertension, autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease, other structural kidney disease, other forms of genetic kidney disease, recurrent nephrolithiasis, and renal transplantation, including pre-transplant evaluation and post-transplant coordination of care, if applicable based on prior experience and training.
