Department: Specialized Adult Rehabilitation & Transitional Services - Oak Lodge and Nickel Lodge

Oak Lodge is an 18 bed, short-term comprehensive assessment unit focused on supporting individuals with an age-related dementia, complicated by responsive behaviours that exceed the capacity of the community, hospital, or long-term care. The goal is to understand the reasons behind these changes and develop individualized care plans to improve quality of life resulting in decreased responsive behaviours.

Nickel Lodge is a 16 bed Specialized Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation program which provides care and support to those with complex mental health problems who often present with a concurrent substance use disorder. This specialized unit is patient driven, recovery-oriented, and integrates patient wishes and goals through a wellness framework.
