Description:
The Driver Manager supports company drivers and Dispatch by providing a communication link
between Planners, Operations, and drivers. The Driver Manager’s focus is on helping drivers
manage their hours of service (HOS) and deliver on time. The Driver Manager will be in constant
contact with the driver as they help resolve issues from status updates to changing
pickup/delivery appointments and other items. Driver Manager also checks load sheets for
accuracy and coordinates with driver HOS to ensure schedules can be met, working to find
resolutions and adjust load sheets when problems are identified.
Essential Functions:
· Communicate with drivers, planners, supervisors, other departments, and customers in writing (e-mails & texts) and verbally (phone & face-to-face).
· Help drivers and planners be successful.
· Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions.
