NP/PA - General Medicine

Job Summary: Directs and supervises nursing services in accordance with governmental and other regulatory standards. Oversees nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients health and wellness. Oversees patient needs and suggests solutions to patient care problems. In conjunction with Medical Director and Practice Manager interviews clinical staff and has input into new hires. Orients, trains, evaluates (in conjunction with Practice Manager and/or Medical Director) all clinical staff in the Internalist office. Ensures the development and delivery of nursing education to staff. Ensures that an acceptable patient flow is achieved at all times and that staff are professional and maintain confidentiality at all times. Ensures that provider needs are met as they relate to the Internalist office. Tracks and reports all supplies used weekly in collaboration with Practice Manager.
