Great British Energy – Nuclear (GBE–N) is a new government arm’s length body that has been set up to turn Britain’s nuclear ambition into reality, supporting both energy security and net zero. GBE–N aims to deliver at pace, based on a supportive and collaborative culture which values equality and diversity and creates an inclusive workplace. It draws on deep nuclear expertise – its Executive Committee members have over 100 years of nuclear experience in this country and abroad between them – and experience from fields as diverse as IT, pharmaceuticals and aerospace.

GBE–N’s role includes helping to unlock billions of pounds of private and public investment, working to get sites ready for development and setting up local development companies.
