Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP-MRP) is a vital member of Quinte Health, providing advanced, patient-centered care within the Surgery Unit. As a registered nurse in the extended class (EC), the NP-MRP autonomously diagnoses, orders, and interprets tests, prescribes treatments, and performs procedures within their legislated scope. In collaboration with surgeons, medical learners, and the interprofessional team, the NP-MRP ensures seamless patient transitions across the healthcare continuum. This role involves comprehensive assessments, leadership in managing the chronic health conditions in complex surgical patients and coordinating with community partners to optimize discharge processes and post-acute care needs.
