NURSE PRACTITIONER – VGH LIVER TRANSPLANT
The Liver Transplantation Program at the Vancouver General Hospital is a dynamic multidisciplinary team consisting of Physicians, Nurse Coordinators, Psychologists, Pharmacists, Addiction Specialists, and Dieticians. It is one of the most rewarding fields in medicine where the team takes care of patients whose lives are transformed from living with liver failure to living with a new, functioning liver. The Nurse Practitioner will be an integral part of the team, taking care of inpatients who have undergone liver transplantation, taking an active part in evaluating patients for liver transplantation, and following the patients long term in the outpatient setting.
