Nursing Scheduler

The Massachusetts Veterans Home at Chelsea, a dedicated long-term care facility committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to our nation's veterans, is seeking a Nursing Scheduler to join thier team. The ideal incumbent's role as the Nursing Scheduler will be to provides scheduling and staffing coverage for the Nursing Department. Inputs, retrieves, maintains, and modifies data on a variety of scheduling and computerized staffing systems for all nursing units and float staff. *Please note that this position will be working rotational weekend schedules.* *_DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:_* 1. Collaborates with Staff Development department for scheduled mandated nursing staff trainings. 2. Creates nurse staff schedules for new hire nursing staff. 3. Processes schedule changes within nursing department. 4. Works collaboratively with nursing supervisors to fill call-out shifts. 5. Generates and maintains the Nursing Department schedules. 6.
