Occupational Therapist

Summary This position is in the Occupational Therapy Section within Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services (PM&RS) at the Greater Los Angeles VA Health Care System. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Conducts independent and specialized evaluation of patients by using a variety of standardized and non-standardized tests to determine occupational therapy needs. Performs OT examinations and evaluations, interpret findings, establishes a diagnosis and prognosis within the scope of OT. Implements appropriate OT intervention plans for all patients referred via face-to-face, telerehabilitation, and/or telephone sessions. Provides age-specific care that is appropriate to the cognitive, emotional, cultural, and chronological maturation needs of the patient. Develops client-centered rehabilitation objectives for individual patients, creates and implements treatment plans to restore independence, maximizes function, and improves engagement in meaningful occupations. ...
