Office Appliance Repairer

Job Description

This position is responsible for repairing office furniture and equipment (e.g. staplers, file cabinets, cubicle set-ups and repair, locksmith services i.e. make keys, repairs locks on cabinets and locking mechanisms). Other duties include loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, lifting boxes, moving carts with mail and other items. Driving a small truck and/or van to other local sites to work; and occasionally making deliveries and pick-ups at the Post Office.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Make repairs as needed to system furniture and customer property as directed by customer work orders. Ie, Repair desks, chairs, cubicles, panels and storage units.
+ Determine maintenance needs and replaces wheels of rolling stock. Such as chair mechanisms, arms, bases and caster.
+ Maintain parts inventory for use in daily repairs. Communicate parts needed to manager for ordering purposes.
