The University of Akureyri invites applications for a full-time position as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in Media Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

We are seeking an applicant with a strong academic background and an active research profile who is interested in contributing to the development of Media Studies at a time of rapid change in the media environment. Particular emphasis is placed on expertise related to digital media, social media, artificial intelligence, or comparable transformations in contemporary media systems.

The successful candidate will play a leading role in shaping the future direction of the Media Studies program and in contributing to teaching and research in the field.
