Position Description
We are recruiting two (2) open-rank full-time Professors of Instruction ( POI ) in the Department of Sustainable Earth Systems Sciences ( SESS ), School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics ( NSM ), at The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas). These POI positions are expected to teach the equivalent of four (4) 3-semester credit hour lecture courses per semester, both in-person and online, primarily to undergraduate students from a wide variety of backgrounds, including BS Geosciences majors and other non-majors. Areas of teaching expertise include undergraduate geology, earth sciences, hydrology, and environmental sciences. Undergraduate research project mentoring is encouraged.
