Operating Technician Batchmaker

This position is an essential part of Sherwin’s manufacturing team. This position follows detailed processing instructions to pre-batch and blend raw materials to create a batch of industrial or architectural colorant. This position performs various manufacturing tasks as assigned and is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and productive working environment.

Select, pull, measure, and stage raw materials for manufacturing

Follow batch slip instructions to incorporate raw materials in high-speed mixers to mix and blend batches

Make lab adjustments, incorporate approved samples, and maintain raw material samples from daily premixes

Operate paint-making control systems and manufacturing equipment such as high-speed dispersers (HSDs), pumps, valves, battery chargers, drum handling equipment, and forklifts, etc., in an efficient and safe manner

Monitor raw materials and finished goods for quality
