The current (2024) hourly wage rate is $34.83 based on a 40-hour work week (Schedule “B”). An additional 12.4% of gross wages is paid in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.

The City of Courtenay invites applications for a temporary 1-year term full-time position of Operations Maintenance Worker (OMW) in the Transportation Services Division of the Operational Services Department. This is a union position subject to the terms and conditions in the collective agreement between the City and CUPE Local 556.

The Operations Maintenance Worker (OMW) participates in the construction and/or installation, maintenance and repair of Transportation, Utilities, Public Works Services and Civic Facilities related infrastructure. OMW’s shall be involved in the day...
