Operations Supervisor I

Job Summary:


The Fixed Assets & Project Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accounting, reporting, and control of capital assets and projects across Elsevier. This role ensures accurate capitalization, depreciation, and project cost tracking in compliance with IFRS, RELX accounting policies, and internal control requirements, while supporting business partners and driving process efficiency within the R2R function.


Responsibilities:
+ Supervise end‑to‑end fixed asset and project accounting activities, including capitalization, depreciation, asset transfers, disposals, project cost tracking.
+ Ensure accurate accounting treatment of capital expenditures, internally developed software, and strategic investment projects
+ Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities related to assets and projects, including reconciliations to the general ledger
