Optometrist

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations including basic screening, refraction and anterior and posterior ocular health checks.
• Prescribe medications, eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Detect ocular conditions (e.g. myopia and dry eyes) and identify those at risk of eye diseases (e.g. macular degeneration and glaucoma).
• Know how to manage patients with such conditions and refer to specialists when necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Optometry and board passer.
• Preferably from 6-year course or DPA certified Optometrist, has excellent academic achievements.
• 1-2 years of work-related experience preferably from an eye center/hospital based or a reputable optical establishment.
• Has the clinical knowledge to be able to deliver PRIMARY EYE CARE to patients.
• Has the passion for providing quality and holistic eye care.
