Oracle Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Implementation, maintenance, and repair database.
• Maintain confidentiality of the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
• Monitor and improve database performance and capacity.
• Implement and maintain databases in Disaster Recovery site.
• Install new versions of DBMS, application software, and other software related to DBMS administration.
• Work closely with the system and network administrator to perform software installations, and to configure hardware and software.
• Co‑ordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the database.
• Write and maintain documentation, document problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current system.
