Position Summary/Description:
The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill ( UNC ) is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible academic orthopaedic sports surgeon to join its team. The ideal candidate will also have expertise/strong interest in shoulder, hip, elbow, and the knee including advanced cartilage restoration, osteotomies, and multi-ligament injuries of the knee. Arthroplasty of the knee would be a bonus. This position is at the flagship academic medical center of a statewide health care system that includes 13 hospitals and more than 5,000 affiliated providers.
The candidate will hold an academic appointment (open rank – commensurate with experience) and will be expected to teach orthopaedic residents/fellows and be actively engaged in scholarship and research. They will also be a part of the Orthopaedic team and a robust Primary Care Sports team...
