Job Description

  • Design aerial and underground fiber optic networks (FTTH, FTTx, backbone, and distribution).
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings, route maps, splicing diagrams, and bill of materials (BOM).
  • Conduct field surveys and feasibility assessments.
  • Perform make-ready engineering (MRE) and pole loading analysis.
  • Coordinate with utility companies, municipalities, and permitting agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as OSHA, NESC, and local/state regulations.
  • Review and interpret civil, utility, and right-of-way drawings.
  • Use GIS and CAD tools to produce accurate design documentation.
  • Support project management with cost estimation and material forecasting.
  • Review as-built documentation and ensure accurate record updates.
  • Troubleshoot design-related issues during construction.
