The Outpatient Pharmacist works within a closed retail pharmacy located in a free-standing Cancer Center, supporting a specialized patient population including oncology and transplant patients, as well as employees and their families. In this lower-volume, highly focused setting, the pharmacist fills approximately 35 prescriptions per day, including oncology treatments and supportive care medications. Responsibilities include medication dispensing, managing prior authorizations, coordinating copay assistance, and providing chemotherapy education.
