Outside Plant Technician

Technician II is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of outside plant infrastructure within the telecommunications and cable TV sectors, with a primary focus on cable laying. This role involves working outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions, working at heights or in confined spaces, and may require physical exertion, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety protocols.  This role involves flexible hours that may be necessary to meet project deadlines or address emergencies.

IV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Cable Laying and Infrastructure Installation. Lay and install hardline fiber optic cables, coaxial cables, copper cables, and other outside plant infrastructure components, adhering to project specifications and safety guidelines.
2. Conduct site surveys to assess the most efficient and practical routing for OSP cables, considering factors like distance, obstacles, and safety.
