Paid On Call Fire Fighter Recruitment

The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass is recruiting Paid On Call Fire Fighters to join our dynamic and positive team. The next intake for new recruits will be in the summer of 2026, however we are always looking for candidates with fire fighting experience and NFPA certification.

Individuals ready to commit time and service for community well being and safety are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a good attitude, teamwork skills, the ability to follow direction and make effective decisions while reacting quickly and calmly in emergent situations, in addition to the qualifications included below.

Paid on call fire fighters attend weekly training (Wednesday nights) and emergency calls on an as needed basis. Due to the unpredictability of calls, hours can greatly vary, but are approximately 2-10 hours per week.
