Paint Technician

Position Summary:

Works closely with painter team leader to perform painting works interior and exterior surfaces. Job duties shall include removing old paint, priming surfaces, choosing materials, selecting and mixing colors and cleaning up job sites. This role will also be required to train and coach new team mates or interns joining the department.

Scope and Responsibilities:

· Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures: Reads work order or receives instructions from supervisor regarding painting works.

· Smooth surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool, and removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting.
