Park Supervisor 2 (NY HELPS) Jones Beach State Park

Duties Description The Park Supervisor 2, SG-14 will be located at Jones Beach State Park in the Long Island Region. The Park Supervisor 2 position will report directly to the Park Manager 1, SG-18 and provide operational and administrative support to park management staff as needed. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Supervision and Staff Management:
• Supervise permanent and seasonal staff engaged in maintenance and operations activities.
• Recruit, train, schedule, assign tasks, and evaluate staff performance.
• Monitor time and attendance, approve schedules, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Conduct staff training and safety briefings.

Maintenance and Operations Oversight:
• Delegate routine maintenance, landscaping, special projects, and minor rehabilitation projects.
• Inspect completed work to ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
