The Part Time Detention Officer is responsible to ensure the safety and security of detainees in custody, acting in accordance with the highest ethical standards at all times, and ensuring a spirit of fairness and integrity in the on-going execution of their duties. Detention Officers for the Port Isabel Detention Center (PIDC) are assigned to unarmed posts inside the detention facility and are directly responsible for the supervision, safety, and security of detainees within the facility secure perimeter.
