Job Description
Become a writing professor at the University of Ottawa this Fall 2026! In this regular part-time role, you will enhance student writing skills through engaging lectures and tailored feedback.
The successful candidate will refine students’ writing style while addressing communication principles in diverse formats. A Master's degree in Translation or a related field is required, along with extensive English writing experience. Good knowledge of the French language, particularly in identifying and correcting language interference, will be an asset for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach writing in English and manage classes
• Create a course site in the learning management system
• Present effective writing techniques and conventions
• Integrate relevant resources and tools for writing
• Provide detailed feedback to aid student development
Requirements:
• Master’s in Translation or related discipline
• Proven English writing and editing experience
