Pastry/ Baker

Responsible for preparing and baking various goods, such as cakes, cookies, pies, and bread, following traditional and modern recipes.

• Prepares bakery and pastry items, in batch quantities, and food items for guests including scratch cooking from basic ingredients, garnished in an attractive manner.
• Coordinates stocks/ mise en place to ensure sufficient and proper food items are available during meal service.
• Participates in recipe development. Communicates to appropriate staff in an effective and team-like manner.
• Follows recipes to prepare pasty and bakery items.
• Ensures proper quality and appearance for product according to established standards.
• Performs start-up and end-of-shift activities of cooks and production area including daily equipment check and temperature monitoring .
