Job Summary:
The Pastry Chef is responsible for the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods in accordance with brand standards. The role ensures consistency, creativity, food safety compliance, and cost efficiency while supporting daily kitchen operations and delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce a wide variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked items following approved recipes and standards
- Develop and improve dessert offerings in line with the restaurant concept, seasonal trends, and guest preferences
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation of all pastry items
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety (HACCP compliance) in the pastry area
- Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and minimize wastage
