Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with all bakery and dessert trends within the industry and coordinate with the Executive Pastry Chef to reflect these trends in your finished products.
• Implement and ensure that set standards are consistently met regarding all finished products and buffet/outlet quality.
• In the absence of the Executive Pastry Chef, collaborate closely with the Head of Purchasing/Cost Control to address any kitchen-related issues.
• Monitor staff attendance, ensuring that all sections of the Pastry Kitchen are efficiently staffed.
• Assist in creating systems and procedures to maintain an orderly and organized operation.
• Monitor food stocks and supplies, ensuring efficient utilization to meet the department's financial objectives.
• Ensure that all staff members meet the required daily production output.
