Pathology Office - Medical Laboratory Assistant

**Job Description:**
This Medical Laboratory Assistant will work in the Pathology office within the Laboratory Department performing a variety of administrative tasks to support the assigned clinical function. Additional tasks in preforming general work in the Laboratory Department may also occur.Office duties may include:Accessioning patient reports for additions and corrections to patient information.Preparation of conference cases for pathologists.Handling and tracking incoming and outgoing non-hazardous patient material within the laboratory information system.Receiving and distributing packages and mail throughout the laboratory.Sending and responding to fax requests.Assisting providers and customers over the phone.Filing and organization of non-hazardous patient materials.Managing the scheduling of pathologists.Promote patient standards of accreditation agencies and state licensure requirements.Follows Essentia Health rules and policies to ensure safety and quality.
