Patient Accounts Receivable

The Patient Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist owns the resolution and collection of patient balances across all lines of business. This role is patient-facing and detail-heavy, balancing accurate account management with top-tier customer service. You'll be a go-to resource for patients with billing questions, payment arrangements, and balance concerns—while keeping everything compliant, documented, and moving toward resolution.

This position plays a key role in reducing patient complaints, improving call responsiveness, and accelerating cash collections.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Balance Resolution & Collections

• Review and resolve patient balance discrepancies, including statement and payment issues
• Manage patient and insurance credit balances related to patient responsibility
• Process self-pay claim adjustments in accordance with billing policies
• Review no-show and cancellation fees and take appropriate billing action
