  About the Job 
 Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming our patients and ensuring all check-in and checkout processes are completed.  Duties and Responsibilities Acknowledge and greets patients, customer, and vendors as they walk into the practice, in a friendly and welcoming manner
 Answers and responds to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
 Schedules appointments
 Gathers patients and insurance information
 Verifies and enters patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete
 Verifies vision and medical insurance information and enters into EMR
 Maintains a clear understanding of insurance plans and is able to communicate insurance information to the patients
 Pulls schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointment and ensures files are complete
